Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Wizard PDF ("the App") handles information when you use the App. Wizard PDF provides local PDF tools for creating PDFs from images, scanning documents, merging PDFs, splitting PDFs, reordering pages, adding text watermarks, compressing PDFs, opening generated files, and sharing generated files. The core PDF features are designed to run on your device without requiring a CenturyNine account or a CenturyNine backend server.

Information Stored or Processed on Your Device

Wizard PDF accesses files only when you choose them through the system file picker, document scanner, save dialog, open action, or share action. Selected PDF and image files may be copied into temporary app storage so the App can process them reliably. Scanned page images may be copied into temporary app cache before they are converted into a PDF.

Wizard PDF does not intentionally upload your PDF files, images, scanned pages, watermark text, page order, or generated documents to CenturyNine servers. PDF operations are processed locally on your device.

The App may store local app data such as generated PDF paths, recent output metadata, file names, created dates, tool type, file size, theme preference, and free-use cooldown state. These values are used to operate the App, display recent generated files, remember preferences, and manage the free operation / rewarded ad unlock flow.

The current version does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, contacts, precise GPS location, microphone audio, calendar, SMS, or call logs for the core PDF features.

The operating system, Flutter framework, file/cache systems, Google Mobile Ads SDK, Google Play services / ML Kit document scanner, or device diagnostics may create ordinary app cache, temporary files, logs, identifiers, or diagnostic data required for the App and third-party SDKs to run.

Device Features and Permissions

Wizard PDF may request internet and network access. Internet and network access are used for Google Mobile Ads / AdMob, SDK functionality, and ordinary connectivity needs.

The App may use file picker, storage, save, open, and share capabilities when you choose input files, save generated PDFs, open a generated PDF, or share a generated PDF with another app.

The App may use the Android document scanner flow provided by Google Play services / ML Kit where available. This scanner is used to capture or import document pages that you choose to provide to the App. Google states that ML Kit processing of input data happens on-device and that ML Kit does not send input data or outputs to Google servers.

Wizard PDF does not use file access to scan your storage in the background. It uses the files you select to perform the PDF operation you requested.

Advertising and Third-Party Services

Wizard PDF uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to show banner ads and rewarded video ads. Rewarded video ads may be used to unlock extra PDF operations when the free-use cooldown is active.

Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect, process, and share certain information for ad delivery, ad measurement, analytics, security, and fraud prevention. Depending on your device, settings, region, and Google services, this may include:

  • IP address and coarse location inferred from network information.
  • App interactions and ad interactions.
  • Diagnostic information related to app and SDK performance.
  • Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app set ID, and related account or device signals.

Google states that user data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.

Wizard PDF does not intentionally send PDF contents, selected files, scanned pages, generated PDFs, watermark text, page order, or PDF operation results to Google for advertising. However, Google Mobile Ads may collect and process data as described in Google's documentation and privacy policies.

Document Processing

The App's PDF tools are designed to run locally on your device. Depending on the tool you choose, Wizard PDF may read selected images or PDF files, create a generated PDF, merge selected PDFs, split a selected PDF, reorder selected pages, add text watermarks, rasterize pages for compression, or copy generated files to a location you choose.

Generated output files are saved on your device or to a destination you choose. Recent output metadata may be stored locally so the App can show recently generated files. The App does not intentionally upload your selected documents or generated output files to CenturyNine servers.

How We Use Information

We use information handled by the App to:

  • Process the PDF operation you choose.
  • Create PDFs from selected images.
  • Scan pages and create PDFs from scanned pages.
  • Merge, split, reorder, watermark, compress, open, and share PDFs.
  • Save generated PDFs to your device or to a location you choose.
  • Display recent generated files.
  • Remember local app preferences such as theme.
  • Enforce the free-use cooldown and rewarded ad unlock flow.
  • Show and measure ads that support the App.
  • Maintain and improve the App experience.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not operate a CenturyNine account system for Wizard PDF, and we do not intentionally upload documents, scans, generated PDFs, or PDF operation results to our own server.

Information may be processed by third-party providers such as Google Mobile Ads, Google Play services / ML Kit, the operating system, Flutter framework, file picker, share sheet, open-file handlers, and device services as described in this Privacy Policy and in those providers' own privacy policies.

When you use the system share sheet or open a generated PDF in another app, the selected receiving app may receive the file you chose to share or open. That receiving app's own privacy policy applies to its handling of the file.

Data Retention and Deletion

Wizard PDF stores generated PDFs on your device or in the destination you choose. Recent output metadata, app settings, cooldown state, temporary working files, and app cache may remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, remove generated files, or uninstall the App.

You can delete local app data by deleting generated PDF files, clearing recent files if available in your version of the App, clearing Wizard PDF storage from device settings, or uninstalling the App.

Advertising data handled by Google or other third-party services is retained according to those providers' policies and your device, account, and advertising settings.

Security

We design Wizard PDF so core PDF processing happens locally on your device and is not sent to CenturyNine servers. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You should avoid processing highly sensitive documents on a shared or untrusted device, and you should protect your device with the security features provided by your operating system.

Third-party SDKs and operating system services may process data according to their own security practices.

Children's Privacy

Wizard PDF is not directed to children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can review the issue.

International Users

Core PDF processing is designed to happen locally on your device. Third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads, Google Play services / ML Kit, the operating system, and device services may process information in different countries according to their own policies and applicable law.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
