Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Zaplyt ("the App") handles information when you use the App. Zaplyt is an offline-first electricity usage calculator designed to help you estimate appliance usage and electricity costs without requiring an account or cloud sync.
Information Stored on Your Device
Zaplyt does not collect, store, or share personal information on our own servers. App data is stored locally on your device using local storage, such as a Hive database. This may include:
- Appliance usage entries.
- Electricity calculation inputs and results.
- App settings and local preferences.
This data stays on your device, is not shared externally by Zaplyt, and can be deleted by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App.
Device Features and Permissions
Zaplyt works offline for its core calculation features and does not require user accounts or login. The App may require internet access for Google Mobile Ads / AdMob functionality.
Zaplyt does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, or files for its core electricity calculation features.
Advertising and Third-Party Services
Zaplyt uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect certain information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Depending on your device, settings, region, and Google services, this may include:
- Device information.
- Advertising ID.
- Usage data and ad interactions.
- Diagnostic information.

How We Use Information
Zaplyt uses locally stored app data to:
- Save appliance usage information on your device.
- Calculate estimated electricity usage and costs.

- Show and measure ads through Google AdMob.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Zaplyt does not share appliance usage inputs, electricity calculations, or local settings with our own servers because Zaplyt does not currently use a cloud account system.
Information may be processed by Google Mobile Ads as part of ad serving and measurement. Please review Google's policies for details about Google's collection, sharing, and controls.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your appliance usage, calculation data, and settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall the App.
Advertising data handled by Google is retained according to Google's own policies and your Google account/device advertising settings.
Security
Zaplyt is designed as a local-first app. We use platform-provided local storage for app data and avoid sending your electricity calculation content to our own servers. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children's Privacy
Zaplyt is not directed to children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can review the issue.
International Users
Your locally stored app data stays on your device. Advertising-related data may be processed by Google and its partners in various countries according to their policies and applicable law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
